Ladies and gentlemen,

we would like to inform you about the changes in study room reservations during the exam period. We are glad that you are using our study rooms for your self-study, but there are more and more people interested in using them and it becomes clear that it is no longer sustainable for one student to book the whole study room for themselves. We have therefore had to reduce the number of reservations and introduce a reservation system for individual workplaces in study rooms, also in connection with the current use of study rooms for test administration. A two-part change is therefore taking place from today (Friday May 27, 2022):

1. In the examination period (until the end of June 2022), only the following study rooms are available for self-study: 109, 110, 114, 115, 118 (study rooms 105, 106, 107, 108, 117 are reserved for test administration).
2. It will no longer be possible to reserve an entire study room for self-study, but only a workplace in a study room (valid for study rooms 109, 110, 114, 115, 118). You can find more information about individual workplaces (see below).

Reservations are still made in the same way via the Timetable app, where you select a specific workplace after logging in. Reservation of all workplaces in a study room by one student is not allowed. If you need a study room for a group study, please contact your student counsellor.

At the same time, we remind you of the basic rules for the use of the study rooms of the Teiresias Centre (see below) and ask you to respect them. Repeated violations of these rules may lead to blocking your access to the study rooms.

Rules for the use of study rooms

• Study rooms are available on weekdays and weekends all day; at weekends, you must report your stay and exit to the doorman/doorwoman at the entrance. 
• You must always reserve your workplace in advance in the Timetable app. If you do not use the reservation, you must cancel it in the timetable. Similarly, if you don't use the entire reserved time, adjust the length of the reservation.
• If you need technical assistance, send your request to ict@teiresias.muni.cz in advance.
• Study rooms are available only for students with special needs. You can study together with your classmates, but you have to be in the room with them; you cannot leave them alone.
• If you leave the study room – even for a short while – close the door.
• After the teaching you must put everything in the workplace into the original position (put the computers back, turn off the lights and air conditioning, and close the door of the study room). If you are taking chairs from another classroom or gallery, please return them to their original location.
• Report technical and operational difficulties to employees of the Special IT Section or the Studies Section.
