Movement activities for students with mobility impairments

The course offers movement activities for students diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP), modified to suit their individual movement abilities.

Appropriately adapted movement activities are also seen as an appropriate adjunct to the treatment or rehabilitation process in this course. It contributes to the development of motor competences and the improvement of motor skills. In particular, elements of psychomotor exercises are used in the course, as well as elements from some sports, taking into account the individual motor competences of students with CP. The teaching is based on individual diagnosis of the locomotor system. Through the movement activities offered, the aim is to contribute to the improvement of motor skills, general fitness, but also communication skills, concentration of attention and global health improvement. Classes are highly individualised and also focus on exercises for correct posture and the elimination of muscle imbalances, as well as relaxation and relaxation exercises.

Personal and professional assistance is provided according to the needs of individual students. The classes are held in the gyms of the FSpS MU and use standard sports equipment, mainly gymnastic equipment, but also non-traditional equipment and non-traditional approaches (inflatable cylinders, health balls, textile tarpaulins, etc.).
